Hello everyone!

Just updating with some recent activity that we did. Last week we had our first meeting and a few of us attended Microsofts Tech Tuesday and Boston Post Mortem.

(The guys from Harmonix playing Beatles Rock Band. Me and Peter actually got to play with them, twas some great times)

At Tech Tuesday the theme of the month was Digital Games. On September 9th, 2009, Governor Deval Patrick declared the day to be Video Game Innovation Day, in honor of Beatles Rock Band (fun game by the way - Alvin).

(John and Geoffrey making a shout out to some developers at Boston Post Mortem)

At this months monthly Post Mortem Meeting, the panel was "Music as an Element of Game Design", held by Duncan Watt of Fastestmanintheworld Music. Watt brought up alot of great points that alot of people don't really think about when it comes to music in games. We also met alot of developers that day who were very interested in coming in to talk to us as well. Stay tuned for that.

Just a reminder, there is a meeting tomorrow, on September 21st at the same place, Beatty 419 at 5:30pm.

Hello Everyone,
hope you all had a great summer. We'll be kicking off the year pretty early, meetings still start the second week of September. As for time and location, they are still TBA as we don't have a room yet. We have alot to talk about in terms of what we want to accomplish this year as well as events that we'd like to have. Please tell your friends and generate some interest. Hope you all haven't been idle this summer, and if you have, well it's time to dust off those programming/drawing/desinging skills and get moving. It's going to be a great year guys.
