Alcohol and Drug Awareness Prevention Training (ADAPT)
Purpose:
The purpose of the
ADAPT (Alcohol and Drug Awareness Prevention Training) class is to serve as a
sanction for students who violate Wentworth’s alcohol and drug policies. The
class is aimed at providing information and resources to students so they can
make more informed decisions regarding alcohol and drug use.
Objectives:
- Students will
assess individual risks and consequences associated with drinking.
- Students will
increase their ability to make responsible decisions regarding personal
alcohol use.
- Students will
identify healthy coping strategies as alternatives to drinking.
- Students will
create a plan for behavior change.
- Students will
discuss the impact of alcohol and drug consumption on the body and the
relationship with academics, social life, sex, etc.
- Students will
explain the campus alcohol and drug policy and state/federal laws.
- Students will
identify on and off campus resources for additional assistance with alcohol
and drug concerns.
Requirements:
