The key for this type of part is doing every piece in sections. Make each part separately and them join them together making sure all of the dimensions are correct so they fit together.

When designing a part of this nature make sure that you have the planes in the correct order. If the planes are out of order the part will not take the correct shape. Also when connecting the planes together, click them in
the order you want the part to form.
