
WIT Network Printer Manager Applications

- Download the “WIT NPM Installer.dmg" file from the OIT website. The file will end up in the default download directory on your Macintosh (typically in the “Downloads" folder on the Desktop).
- Locate the file, and double-click on “WIT NPM Installer.dmg". This will create a temporary folder on the Desktop called “WIT Network Printer Manager", and automatically open a window that looks like this:

- As illustrated, select the icon "WIT Network Printer Manager", and drag/drop it into the “Applications" folder alias. This installs the “WIT Network Printer Manager" application inside your “Applications" folder.
- You may now safely close the “WIT Network Printer Manager" window, and likewise either eject or drag-to-the-trash the “WIT Network Printer Manager" yellow icon on the Desktop.
- You have successfully installed the WIT Network Printer Manager! For instructions on how to utilize the application, please continue reading.

How to Reset the Printing System in MacOS X
- Navigate to the Macintosh HD and to the “Applications" folder. Assuming your applications are sorted alphabetically, there is now an application called “WIT Network Printer Manager". Double-click on the application to launch.

- Upon launch, the WIT Network Printer Manager will look like this:

- Select “Login" and you will be prompted to enter your Active Directory (i.e. “WIT email") username/password.

- Select “OK" and allow the application to authenticate with the provided credentials. If your credentials do not work, please contact the OIT Help Desk.
- Once you have authenticated, a green “connected" will be illuminated:

- Now select the green “+" sign to add a printer.

- You will need to select the applicable building and
printer, and then “Add."

- Upon successful addition of printer, you can either
select/add additional printers, or select “Close."

- In the WIT Network Printer Manager, you will see a
list of all your added printers:

- You are now ready to print, and can close the WIT
Network Printer Manager application. To add additional printers in the future, simply re-launch the
application and repeat the process.

Reseting the Printing System in MacOS X
Note: Resetting the Printing System will erase all existing printer from the Printer List!
- Launch the Printer Setup Utility (it should be in the Dock, but can also be found in Macintosh HD – Applications – Utilities – Printer Setup Utility).

- From the “Printer Setup Utility” menu, select “Reset Printing System”.

- You may be prompted to confirm the reset. Select “Reset”.

- You will be required to authenticate with your local username/password.

- After a successful reset of the printing system, your “Printer List” should be completely blank.

- You can now re-add your printers via the WIT Network Printer Manager application.
