Passwords, User Names and PINs
Below is an explanation of your user name, passwords and PINs for Wentworth's network and web assests.

| LConnect User Name: |
This is your primary user name for all network and web systems at Wentowrth. The LConnect user name is made up of your last name, your first initial, and sometimes, numerals: smithj or possibly smithj2. |

| LConnect PIN: |
This is a six-digit number that gives you access to the LConnect portal at http://lconnect.wit.edu. This is the PIN that is also passed along by LConnect to Leopardweb--our Banner student information system--when you click on the Leopardweb link. |

| Active Directory: |
Active directory is the applciaton that stores information for all network, users, groups, and assets. When you sign onto your laptop or any network computer, you use your Active Directory name and password.
.Your active directory User Name is your LConnect user Name.
Please note that when accessing Myweb, you must prefix your username with wit\. Example: wit\smithj2.

Your Active Directory Password is a combination of numerals, capital and small letters at least 7 characters long.
This Password gives you access to network assets such as access.wit.edu (Web access to your P drive), Any shared files or directories on the network, and your MyWeb account.
Should you need to change your Active Directory Password, you can do so while logged into any network PC by htting Ctrl/Alt/Delete and selecting Change Password.
Mac users (and pc users) can change AD passwords remotely by logging onto your email at https://email.wit.edu.
- Click on Options
- go to the bottom of the page and click on Change Password
- Domain: wit
- Account: your lconnect user name
- put in your current (old) password and the new.
