Printmaking has been a type of creative refuge for the last 18 years. It has allowed me to focus on the production of a pure image unencumbered by the social responsibilities of architecture. At the same time, it has recharged my creative energies and brought new perspectives to the design of my buildings. The images drift between real and imaginary landscapes. Sometimes the places emerge through the process of making the print, and other times they are in my minds eye from the beginning.
