DEVICES

This course introduces the student to the field of discrete electronics devices.  The student will be introduced to semiconductor diodes, BJT and MOSFET transistors, SCRs, triacs, opto-isolators, and other devices such as dc-to-dc converters, currently used in the electronics industry.  Applications will illustrate use and laboratory exercises will enhance learning.

Prerequisite:  ELEC 195 Circuit Theory II

Corequisite:  MATH280 Calculus I.
