Accessing your Myweb.wit.edu Web Space via FTP
File Transfer Protocol to MyWeb
FTP is one of the simplest methods to upload your files to your Myweb web-server space. You can use the current version of Internet Explorer from your PC, or, any of a number of FTP programs from PC or Mac.
Accessing your site on your PC:
- If you are using internet explorer to access your site via ftp, the address you use is ftp://myweb.wit.edu
- When prompted for your username, type wit\[your username]
- Your password is the same as the active directory password you use to log onto your local computer.
- If you are using an ftp client (such as WSftp) the address you will use is myweb.wit.edu
- username and password are the same as above.
Accessing your site on your Mac using Fetch:
- Fetch is an ftp client that allows you to access your site, upload, download and delete files.
- All Wentworth Macs have fetch installed. If you are using a personal machine and need the program, go to http://fetchsoftworks.com/Licensing/edustore.application.html where you can download a free copy.
- When you start Fetch a window for a "New Connection will come up. For "Host Name" use: myweb.wit.edu
- For your username, type wit\[your username]
- Your password is the same as the active directory password you use to log onto your local computer.

- Upon successful connection you'll see a window of your web directory into which you can drag your files for publication.
