About Wentworth's STEM
Discovery Program
The STEM Discovery Program is a summer
initiative of Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts.
The program offers a 3-week course of study in Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics to qualified, local high school students.
Each of these courses will consist of content that is at the introductory college level, and will be a sampling of what is normally taught to a Wentworth freshman. There are four objectives to the STEM Discovery Program:
- Inspire students’ interest in math and science
- Introduce students to some of the fields of Engineering
and Technology
- Provide students with some of the tools and knowledge
used to excel academically in science and math
- Expose students to the professional opportunities that can be pursued by studying STEM subjects
