Health Insurance Information
In most instances, your health
insurance will cover the cost of your
appointments with Dr. Pucci.
In the event that your health insurance
will not cover your appointments, the Wentworth
Counseling Center may pay for two appointments
with Dr. Claudia Pucci per academic year.
You are responsible for the cost of any
further sessions with Dr. Pucci, so it is
important that you understand your health
insurance coverage.
You
are also responsible for your co-pay for every
session with Dr. Pucci.
**Please note that you must
give the Counseling Center 24 hours notice if
you need to cancel or reschedule your
appointment with Dr. Pucci. If you do not
give 24 hours notice, you will be billed the
full cost of the session.**
If you have Consolidated Health Plans, the
Wentworth student health insurance, please fill
out the Student Insurance Claim Form, available
from the Counseling Center.
It
is important that you fill out the form
completely; otherwise Consolidated may not cover
the cost of your visits.
If you have health insurance other than
Consolidated, you
must contact your health insurance company to find
out about your mental health benefit.
Insurance companies have different policies
with regard to numbers of appointments and amount
covered.
On the back of your health insurance card, there
should be a phone number for customer service or
mental health benefits.
Call this number and ask the following
questions:
-
Do I need a referral or authorization for
my outpatient mental health treatment?
-
How many sessions am I allowed?
-
Is there a difference in the coverage for
in-network and out-of-network providers?
(Dr. Pucci will be able to tell you if she
is in-network for your insurance plan.)
-
If Dr. Pucci is out-of-network, how do I
find an in-network doctor?
-
Is there a co-pay?
(If so, you are responsible for paying the
co-pay to Dr. Pucci each week.)
-
Is there a deductible? If so, how much? (A
deductible is the amount of money you must pay
before your insurance will start paying.)
-
To what address should the claims be sent?
If you have any more questions about your health
insurance, please be sure to ask Dr. Pucci.
If you have concerns about your financial
situation, discuss them with your counselor or Dr.
Pucci.
