Wentworth Counseling Center
About
Us
The
mission of the Counseling Center is to assist
students with their mental health needs so that
they may be successful in their academic pursuits.
The Counseling Center provides services to
students dealing with common adjustment issues, as
well as students needing ongoing mental health
counseling and psychiatric services. Our ultimate
goal is to assist students in achieving the
educational goals that brought them to
Wentworth.
The Counseling Center offers a safe, confidential environment where students can share
thoughts and feelings, explore issues of concern,
and gain awareness and insight into their
lives. Counselors are sensitive to issues of
gender, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation,
and disabilities.
The
Counseling Center is staffed by Hal
Conner, Maura
Mulligan, and Carla
Naumburg, professionally
trained Counselors who are available to discuss
personal and academic concerns with students.
Counselors are frequently consulted for a number
of reasons, which may include personal concerns,
anxiety and depression, problems in relationships,
academic and study difficulties.
In addition to Counseling Services, Wentworth's
Counseling Center also employs a Coordinator of
Disability Services, Judy
Moss, as well as a
consulting psychiatrist, Dr. Claudia
Pucci.
Students may be seen for a few appointments or for
a longer period of time as their needs dictate.
Most students experience relief after only a few
sessions. When appropriate, students may be referred to
another qualified professional in the community.
This may include Wentworth's consulting
psychiatrist.
The services of the Counseling Center are
available without charge. All sessions with
Counselors are strictly confidential. No
information will be released without the student's
permission, except in cases of emergency.
